What happened
In SpaceXAI's antitrust suit against Apple and OpenAI (trial set for January 2027), OpenAI said usage from the 2024 integration fell short and forecasts were cut within a month. It partly blamed Apple's default-off setup.
Why it matters
It suggests a top-tier distribution deal didn't turn into consumer usage, and it previews OpenAI's defense ahead of the January trial.
Uncertainty
We haven't reviewed the filings themselves. Reuters was also cited, but we haven't confirmed its reporting was independent of the FT's.
