What happened
Microsoft committed more than $10B across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait by 2030, including more than $400M for subsea and land connectivity. Bloomberg reports the pledge is about $2B above earlier commitments.
Why it matters
The headline figure mostly restates prior plans. The roughly $2B increment is the number to use in capex and sovereign-AI models.
Uncertainty
The ~$2B increment comes from one outlet (Bloomberg). Microsoft's post doesn't break out new vs previously announced money.
